Grid dialog is shown when Grid is activated from the View toolbar or by activating Editor or Digitizer layout. Grid dialog contains tools that affect grid appearance.
Grid is a “net” of equally distanced horizontal and vertical lines. They serve as help tool when drawing needs precise, but can also serve as orientation. Grid X changes affect vertical grid line while Grid Y affect horizontal grid line.
Grid slider increases / decreases distance between grid lines
Grid Textbox allows manual input of distance between gridlines.
Grid Show toggles grid lines visibility
Draw Grid toggles whether the grid lines are shown behind objects or in front objects.
Grid Lines toggles the grid line style.
Scale To will scale grid lines compared to Art Work or Embroidery Size
Grid Color changes the grid lines color.
Grid Visibility toggles grid lines visibility. Turning the visibility off won’t affect Grid Dialog visibility.
Ruler Color changes the ruler color.
Ruler Visibility toggles visibility of ALL rulers in the drawing.
Draw Single Ruler draws custom size ruler in the drawing window.
Clear Rulers removes all custom rulers from the drawing.
User can choose the distance between vertical grid line using the slider on Grid X or by entering the value manually. To change the distance between horizontal lines, Grid Y slider or text input is used. To hide grid horizontal / vertical lines user can tick the checkbox next to the Show X or Show Y.
When grid is displayed, it can be shown in front of the object or behind, depending on the setting in the Grid Dialog. Grid lines can be Solid or Dotted.
