ThreadsES uses its own file extension (.tef). As you can see in the table above, ThreadsES also supports saving to different file formats. Follow these steps below to save to various formats of your choice.
Step 1: From the File menu choose Save as.
Step 2: The Save As dialog appears. Choose the file location ant the file type. For example, to save to DST (Tajima), select Tajima Files (*.dst) from the dropdown menu.
Step 3: When file type is changed, the window will only show files that have the same extension. Click Save to save the file.
Step 4: When saving to DST, many Tajima machines require file name format gØxx.dst where XX is any number from ØØ – 99. Therefore, the first Tajima DST file name on a disk/USB would be gØØ1.dst, the second Tajima DST file name would be gØØ2.dst, the third gØØ3.dst, etc.
The Tajima .dst file can not store the color palette. It does not
have the ability to save RGB (red, green, blue) color values at
the color changes. When working with this files, you need to
configure the color of the thread in the machine you are using.
